Alpha Logistics Services (EPZ) Ltd. was incorporated on 1 August 2003 as a limited liability company to provide marine and other logistics support services. The company commercialises Alpha Group's expertise by providing logistics support to major infrastructure projects. It is strategically located in the Mombasa port area with an 80-metre jetty with 12-metre draft dedicated to offshore support vessels (OSV) and breakbulk; a 23-metre jetty with 11-metre draft for supporting vessels/anchorage for a second platform support vessel (PSV); a 133-metre jetty with 10-metre draft shared with other commercial vessels; a 10,000 sq. m laydown/operations area near the jetty; a 20,000 sq. m area close to the quayside with an Export Processing Zone (EPZ) facility; 3,000 sq. m of covered space; a 110 m launching slipway; and 160,000 sq. m on the Mombasa-Nairobi highway with a full waste management facility and a holding facility for casings. It has a total workforce of 600 personnel and offers specialised supply base services in Mombasa, Kenya (7,500 sq. m with an 800 sq. m godown) and in Mtwara, Tanzania (22 acres next to Mtwara port). For the past 10 years, Alpha Logistics has served oil and gas exploration companies and infrastructure building industries operating in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Mozambique and Somalia.
