These terms apply to Maritimedex (maritimedex.com): “we” means Maritimedex and “you” means anyone who uses the site. By using Maritimedex you agree to these terms; if you use it for a company, you agree for that company too.
Using Maritimedex
Searching the directory, reading company and port pages and using the map are free and need no account. When you use the site:
- use it lawfully and for genuine business;
- don't copy the directory in bulk, by hand or with software, or reuse it in another product;
- don't send spam, advertising or misleading messages through it;
- don't try to break, overload or get around its security.
Your account
You need an account to add or manage a company. Use your real name and an email address you read, and keep your password to yourself: you are responsible for what is done with your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. You can delete your account at any time under Profile → Delete account: it is deleted at once with your company listings, messages and the companies you follow, and can't be restored. Payments are refunded as set out under Cancellation and refunds.
Company listings
- You may add or claim a company only if you are allowed to act for it. We check this with a code sent to an email address on the company's own domain.
- What you add must be true, up to date and must not infringe anyone's rights. The content stays yours; you let us show it on Maritimedex while your listing is live.
- We review every new listing before it goes live. We may ask you for changes or turn the listing down.
- Changes to the company name, logo, website and company email are checked by us before they appear; other changes appear straight away.
- We may correct obvious mistakes, and hide or remove a listing that is false, misleading or breaks these terms.
Plans and payments
- A company listing is paid for 1, 2 or 3 years in advance. The prices are on the Pricing page and are shown again before you pay. They are in US dollars; for customers in Türkiye VAT is included.
- You pay by Visa or Mastercard. The payment is handled by Garanti BBVA: your card number goes straight to the bank and we never see or store it. We keep only its last four digits and the bank's reference.
- You can confirm the payment with 3D Secure, a code your bank sends to your phone.
- Your plan starts on the day we approve your listing, so you don't lose the review days. We issue the invoice to the invoice details you give us.
End of a plan and renewal
We email you before your plan ends. To keep your listing live, renew it from My Company; if you don't, the listing is hidden on its end date, and you can renew it later.
Cancellation and refunds
- Before we approve your listing you can cancel by writing to support@maritimedex.com; we refund the payment in full.
- If we turn your listing down, we refund the payment in full.
- Once your listing is live, you can hide or delete it at any time from My Company; the time left on your plan is not refunded.
- If you were charged twice or by mistake, we refund the extra amount.
Refunds go back to the card you paid with. We make them within 7 days; when they appear on your statement depends on your bank.
Listings are sold to businesses. If you buy as a consumer, the first point above is your right of withdrawal: it ends when your listing goes live, because the service has then been provided at your request. Your other rights under Turkish consumer law are not affected.
Distance sales information
Before you pay online, the law asks us to give you this information. With these terms, it is the agreement between us.

Our content
The site, its design and the directory as a whole belong to us; each company's content belongs to that company. Place names come from GeoNames under the CC BY 4.0 licence. Other names and logos belong to their owners.
Dealing with companies
Maritimedex helps you find and contact companies; any deal you make is between you and the company. We check new listings, but we can't guarantee what a company offers or that every detail is correct.
Liability
We work to keep the site running and correct, but it is provided as it is, without guarantees. We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profit or business, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits a liability the law doesn't allow us to limit.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. We email account holders about important changes before they apply. A payment already made stays under the terms of its day.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. The courts and enforcement offices of İstanbul settle disputes; consumers keep their right to apply to their own consumer arbitration committee or court.
