Our company was founded in the late 1990s by Ahmet Önel and Mehmet Akın. Our founders, who come from long-established seafaring families of Marmara Island, combined their thirty years of maritime experience under the roof of Arel Denizcilik. Initially providing chartering services, Arel Denizcilik began shipowning by acquiring its first vessel in early 2000. Continuing its investments to expand its fleet in the following years, Arel Denizcilik today successfully transports approximately three million tons of cargo annually with its 11 owned vessels and its chartered vessels.
