Since 1998, PT Pelayaran Tanjung Kumawa has established Bumagroup as a leading local contractor of marine and logistics services for offshore companies in Papua and the surrounding area. PT Pelayaran Tanjung Kumawa owns and/or operates tug boats, barges, LCTs, AHTs, dredger vessels, passenger vessels, crew boats, ambulance and patrol boats, and owns a private jetty facility, warehouses and a workshop in Sorong, West Papua. PT Pelayaran Tanjung Kumawa also provides other services, such as stevedoring, cargodoring and trucking; vessel clearance for foreign-flag or Indonesian-flag vessels; transportation of fuel and fresh water, and a water maker (SWRO) barge; repair and maintenance engineering of vessels and other machinery; and provision of jetty, warehouse and open yard facilities. The capability to provide integrated services and the capacity to give one-stop services is a special characteristic of BUMA GROUP.
