De Bock Maritiem B.V. is a shipping company with currently 5 ships, which all have Alkmaar as homeport. The first vessel, the "Smaragd" (2339 GT / 749 kW), has been in service since June 20th 2003. The second vessel, the "Saffier" (3970 GT / 2720 kW), has been in service since April 11th 2008. The third vessel, the “Sardius” (3477 GT / 1800 kW), has been in service since July 1st 2011. The fourth vessel, the “Amadeus Aquamarijn”, and the fifth ship, the “Amadeus Amethist” (both 1898 GT / 1156 kW), were added to our fleet on January 8th 2016. The Smaragd and Saffier were built at Barkmeijer Shipyards in Stroobos, The Netherlands; the Sardius was built by Scheepswerf Peters in Kampen, The Netherlands. The Amadeus Aquamarijn & Amadeus Amethist are sister ships. Trading area: Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
