The origins of Elling can be found at Neptune Marine, which started producing fibreglass-reinforced polyester ships in 1972, making it one of the pioneers of this then-new building material. In 1997, Neptune Marine launched the first Elling motoryacht. The model was based on more than a hundred concept requirements, collected from thousands of water sports enthusiasts from around the world, combining safety, comfort and luxury. These ideas were brought together by world-renowned designer Ken Freivokh, and from this came the revolutionary concept of the Elling. Within water sports, the Elling E3 and Elling E4 have become indispensable. The water sports enthusiast looking for a seaworthy yacht with a luxurious look and comfort cannot ignore the Elling. The E-Series E6 represents the culmination of our achievements in contemporary luxury yacht design and encapsulates the go-anywhere concept. This boat raises the bar already set by the E4 and adds an extra 16 feet of luxury, allowing you to relax in even greater comfort with increased range capability. History: in 1997 we launched the Elling E3; in 2004 we launched the Elling E4, upgrading the E3 to the E4; in 2008 three Elling E4s crossed the Atlantic Ocean in a 16-day trip; in March 2014 we put a production Elling E4 through a 360-degree capsize test, the ultimate test on which the concept of Elling was born, as one of the main criteria was to design a standard production recreational pleasure craft that was completely self-righting like a lifeboat; in 2016 a new model, the 20-meter Elling E6, was launched; and in 2023 came an Arctic adventure with the Elling E6.
