General Constructions “Ifaistus” was established in 1980; however, we have a long tradition of over 40 years in general constructions and tailor-made fabrications. Our headquarters are situated in the centre of the Piraeus Industrial Zone with an area of 600 m2, and we have two workshops in Athens of 900 m2 where major repairs of hydraulic motors, valves and cylinders are performed, as well as pre-fabrication of BWTS. Top-quality service, long experience, expertise, consistency, delivering on our promise and taking care of our people have all played a significant role in our success and reputation in the shipping industry. Today General Constructions “Ifaistus” employs more than 30 people with an average service of 30 years in our company, owns three workshops with a total area of 1,500 m2, has expanded into, among others, in-house and on-board hydraulics spares and repairs, and is ISO certified with a major IACS classification society. Our workshops are equipped with modern mechanical equipment such as electronic lathes, CNC, piercing instruments and test rigs by Autoclave USA for hydraulic pressure tests up to 6,000 bar. Our long-term, well-established collaboration with qualified affiliates ensures excellent quality of our products and services as well as competitive prices.
