Since its foundation in 1974, Muhammet Gümüştaş A.Ş. has achieved many successful projects and serves as a leading company in cement logistics, cement sales and ready-mixed concrete. Founded in Trabzon by Muhammet Gümüştaş, the company initially carried out construction contracting and transport, acting as contractor for raw material production and transport for well-known cement factories. In 1996 it took over the Zonguldak and Bartın regional cement sales dealership of Bolu Çimento Sanayi A.Ş., an Oyak company, and began cement sales. In 2000 it expanded its cement sales network with the Giresun and Trabzon regional sales dealership of Ünye Çimento A.Ş., also an Oyak company. In 2009 the Istanbul Asian and European side cement sales dealership of Traçim Çimento San. ve Tic. A.Ş. in Vize, Kırklareli was added. In 2012 it began operating a cement sales terminal within Trabzon Port, and in 2015 it began serving at the Marmara Ereğlisi, Derince and Darıca terminals. In parallel with the growth of its cement sales network, the company developed its land and sea transport fleet and established itself in the domestic logistics sector. In 2007 its first fixed concrete plant was set up in Bulancak, Giresun, and ready-mixed concrete production began, followed by plants in İzmit (October 2007), Giresun (March 2008) and three plants on Istanbul's European side in Ayazağa, Alibeyköy and İkitelli (2011). With ready-mixed concrete production facilities opened in Adapazarı in May 2012 and Düzce in February 2014, Muhammet Gümüştaş A.Ş. continues its rapid growth in the sector.
