The National Fisheries Research Institute is a public scientific establishment with an applied research mission in the fisheries and oceanographic field to support the sustainable development of the fishing and aquaculture sector. In addition to carrying out its sovereign missions of scientific monitoring of marine ecosystems and formulation of scientific opinions in favor of the Department of Maritime Fisheries for the sustainable management of the fishing sector, INRH supports all private and public operators requesting technical and scientific services in the fields of oceanography, aquaculture, fishing and the marine environment. As a national reference in these areas of scientific activity, INRH has a vast range of expertise that it continually develops and renews as part of carrying out its missions in the service of ocean sustainability.
