In 1999, Capt. George Ward IV started Escape Marine Surveying, serving the Delaware Valley area. Joshua Ward worked as an apprentice under his father, quickly gained accreditation as a Certified Marine Surveyor through ACMS and worked with him until his passing in 2021. Joshua then changed the name of the company to JW Marine Surveyors, continuing to carry on his father's legacy and evolving the business into an East Coast marine surveying powerhouse! Joshua has combined his extensive knowledge gained serving in the US Coast Guard as well as his 24 years of hands-on marine surveying experience with his passion for customer satisfaction to make JW Marine Surveying the #1 marine surveying company in NY and NJ. Joshua continues his education through training with companies like ABYC, IAMI, NASBLA, ICMA, NFPA, MECO, IICL, ASA, CSC, NCB, ITCO, and the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance, allowing him to provide the most informative and comprehensive marine survey reports to his clients. Joshua's son Cameron Ward has now joined him at JW Marine Surveyors and plans to continue the family business for the next generation.
