Kristiansand Bygg AS is a specialized underwater contractor providing technical diving services and subsea engineering for the maritime and heavy industrial sectors. We operate primarily in Southern Norway and the Grenland region (Porsgrunn, Skien, Brevik), utilizing certified commercial divers and modern ROV technology. Our company is a dedicated specialist in heavy industrial subsea operations and is not a traditional carpentry firm. Our core maritime services include underwater surveys (certified hull inspections, including UWILD, in-water survey in lieu of drydocking, with high-quality video and photo documentation), technical inspections of rudder gear, steering arrangements and propeller systems, maintenance (propeller grinding and polishing, sea chest cleaning and replacement of sacrificial anodes) and underwater repairs (specialized welding, cutting of metals and sealing of cracks or leaks). In industrial subsea engineering, we offer demolition and construction (expertise in complex quay demolition and underwater construction), precision cutting (controlled removal of concrete and steel structures using vibration-free wire sawing and core drilling) and subsea surveys (technical diving surveys of berths, piers and hydrotechnical facilities). We operate the specialized vessel Dykkeservice 5, equipped with a 32 tonne-metre crane, providing independent lifting capacity for projects where shore-based access is limited. For rapid response, we utilize high-speed diving craft for quick mobilization along the coast.
