Established in 1981, Manor Marine is a leading UK-based marine engineering and shipbuilding company located in Portland, Dorset. With over four decades of experience, we deliver high-quality vessel construction, refit, repair and fabrication services to clients across the offshore energy, defence, commercial marine, aquaculture and port services sectors. Originally focused on shipbuilding for the renewable energy industry, Manor Marine has expanded to support vessel operators, civil engineering firms and global technology companies, providing reliable, cost-effective solutions for complex marine and structural projects. Core competencies include steel and aluminium vessel construction; vessel repairs, refit and slipping; vessel mobilisation, demobilisation and fleet support; classification society liaison and compliance; in-house design; coded welders; structural and marine fabrication; offshore cable storage and renewables support; storage including climate-controlled areas; blasting and painting; and remote maintenance and support teams. Facilities include a 55 m x 53 m new build workshop with 12.5 t and 2 x 10 t EOT cranes; a paint workshop; a Synchrolift vessel hoist (20 m x 7.5 m, 80 t at 3.0 m W/D) with a rail transfer system to the workshop; a launch pad (36 m x 12 m, 550 t at 3.0 m W/D); two slipways (13 m x 50 m, 350 t at 2.5 m W/D); 150 m of fully serviced berths at 2.4 m W/D with crane access and shore power; plasma and oxy-fuel CNC cutting tables; a machine shop; forklifts (3 t to 14 t) and a telehandler; a fixed dockside crane; dedicated steel and aluminium workshops; and water blasting.
