Port Otago

Harbourcold saw the need for cold storage facilities close to the southern ocean fishing grounds. It has a capacity to store 5,500 MT, divided into 3 stores within the boundaries of the MPI compliance regulations, and boasts a well-maintained refrigeration plant system running three MYCOM compressors. Store temperatures can range from -26 °C to 0 °C. Using a dependable, skilled, permanent workforce which is flexible in its operational hours, a 24/7 service can be worked in order to meet a client’s demands. While discharge of cargo is underway, there is also a fuel bunkering point situated right outside the Harbourcold environmental area. Harbourcold is a joint venture between Sealord and Port Otago Limited.
