Founded in 2008 in Nantes, France, Roboplanet engineers and manufactures robotic tools that remove personnel from hazardous inspection zones. Magnetic crawler systems such as Altiscan carry out fast ultrasonic thickness mapping and remote visual inspection on hulls, storage tanks, and other vertical or inverted steel surfaces, even when wet, while maintaining 220 lbf (1 kN) of adhesion. The telescopic UT_Pole reaches 40 ft (12 m) for overhead measurements without scaffolding. All hardware and control software are developed in-house by a multidisciplinary R&D team and validated against API 510, API 570, and API 653 requirements.
