Rochem Technical Services

Established in 1978, Rochem Technical Services (RTS) is part of the wider Rochem Worldwide Group. RTS set out to serve the onshore and offshore industrial gas turbine markets with in-service, efficiency-enhancing systems, in particular on-line and off-line compressor cleaning systems and chemicals that help maintain fuel efficiency and output. Over 12,000 gas turbines have been installed with RTS compressor cleaning systems, with some 300 installations per annum, along with almost 100 process compressor cleaning nozzles worldwide. Four strategic subsidiaries in Europe, the USA, the Middle East and Asia deliver customer service and support. The rapid development of the UK's offshore oil and gas industry in the 1980s brought a significant boost as large-capacity gas turbines were installed aboard offshore production rigs. Three main principles apply to all of our system design: deliver the cleaning chemical to fully wet the internal surfaces, use a properly formulated chemical to clean and remove fouling, and clean regularly and frequently to control fouling build-up. We design and manufacture all of our specialist nozzle systems and delivery systems, including on-wing aviation engine cleaning systems, at our headquarters in Winchester, UK, with in-house design, testing and measurement. Elsewhere within the Rochem group we design and manufacture a unique range of water treatment systems. The full range of FYREWASH® cleaning chemicals, developed to meet the stringent requirements of gas turbine manufacturers, is manufactured at our facility in Rotterdam, Netherlands. In partnership with Portsmouth University, we are developing and testing foulant recovered from the process to provide the best cleaning chemicals for each application. As a key supplier to many OEMs, including Siemens, GE, Kawasaki, Solar and Dresser Rand, the majority of our systems are installed on new equipment directly with the OEM.
