Shin Yang Shipyard Sdn. Bhd. was established in 1997 and has continuously and actively played a role in transforming the shipbuilding and ship repair market in Malaysia. Under its listed parent company, Shin Yang Group Berhad (formerly known as Shin Yang Shipping Corporation Berhad), the shipbuilding division has continued to deliver quality vessels. Under ISO 9001:2015 certification and continual improvement, Shin Yang has delivered more than 420 different types of vessels to date, ranging from DP2 diesel electric platform support vessels, diesel electric anchor handling tugs and supply vessels, maintenance/workboats, seismic support vessels, harbour tugs, pneumatic cement carriers, floating docks, tugs and barges, landing crafts, cargo vessels and aluminium fast crew boats to specialized vessels for the Navy.
