Stavsnäs Båttaxi AB

The boat taxi business was formed in Stavsnäs around 1965. The idea was to coordinate all taxi boats under the same roof in order to provide a better service around the clock. At most there were about 20 boats, divided into several on-call teams. Since 1992 the business has been run by Stavsnäs Båttaxi Skärgårdstrafik och Charter AB. We have boats and an office in Stavsnäs Vinterhamn, only 100 metres from where the SL bus stops. Together with Waxholmsbolaget we offer our passengers a waiting room, and SL tickets can also be loaded at the Waxholmsbolaget terminal. Today there are four active shipping companies: Daniel Karlsson with m/s Bellona, Djurö Sjötransport with m/s Gugner, Madam Rederi AB with m/s Madam, m/s Gripen and m/s Hemta, and Runmarö Båttaxi AB with m/s Cascad, m/s Doc, m/s Isak, m/s Sydsund and the hovercraft Ikaros. The boat taxi today has one employed office clerk, Eva, who takes bookings and makes sure the right boat is in the right place at the right time; she also handles invoicing, correspondence and other tasks. In addition to the boat taxi, we operate scheduled services to islands in the Runmarö and Nämdö archipelagos, as well as supplementary and reinforcement traffic for Waxholmsbolaget. At Stavsnäs Båttaxi we work continuously to develop our services.
