TurboSpares was established in 1996 by Peter Roos and remains a family business in the port of Rotterdam. With specialist materials and precision workmanship we deliver reliable products, focusing on optimal performance of the diesel engine and turbocharger. We supply quality spares for turbochargers made by major brands such as ABB, MAN, KBB, Napier, Mitsubishi, PBS and IHI. TurboSpares has built its reputation on rapid response times with high-quality service levels for turbochargers in marine, industrial and power-generation applications. A large stock enables us to supply a wide range of turbocharger spares at short notice, and all components leaving our workshop are fully inspected and securely packed to ensure safe shipment. Bearing technology is a key skill for TurboSpares: we are the authorized supplier of the German SLF hybrid ball and roller bearings, specially designed for high-speed turbocharger applications and an excellent solution for highly loaded power plants and ferries with many starts, stops and load changes. The company also offers full overhaul facilities for turbocharger cartridges, with the option of a cartridge exchange service for auxiliary engines including overhaul and warehousing. Operators can call off the stored spare cartridge at short notice, which significantly reduces ship downtime: the ship's crew can change the complete cartridge and return the used one to our workshop for overhaul. This system is interesting for shipowners with the same type of auxiliary engines and turbochargers in the fleet, with associated operating cost savings. Turbochargers will be critical in meeting the IMO Tier III emission targets. With our supplies we follow the latest modifications in compliance with IMO environmental regulations, and given the necessary IMO identification numbers we deliver spare parts to the correct specification as registered in the technical files.
