Ucel Denizcilik

Üçel Maritime & Trade Co. Inc. was established in 1983 by Abbas Kolçalar. Initially, the company provided ship repair services. In time, it started a new career in scrapping in the late 90's. With the collapse of the Soviet regime in Russia and other ex-communist countries, the company found the opportunity to gain access to many different types of vessels, including dredgers and split barges, for scrapping. Later, seeing the market need for such vessels after the privatization of ports in Turkey, the company became one of the first sea contractors in Turkey, taking part in many maritime civil projects such as the construction of Tekirdağ Akport, Aksaz Naval Port, Pendik Naval Port, Ambarlı Port etc. The company is also the first contractor that facilitated the use of caisson blocks in Turkey. Today, the company produces its own vessels and its service area includes ship repairs, salvage, maritime construction and project load transfers.
