Since its inception in 1970 in rented premises at the port of Thyborøn, Vest-El has seen continuous development and expansion, which meant that the number of employees increased and the space in the leased premises became too small. In 1990, Vest-El (formerly known as Thyborøn Skibsradio/TSR Electronic) inaugurated its present building of approximately 650 m² at the quay in the port of Thyborøn, housing workshop, warehouse and office facilities. By 2018 Vest-El had divisions in both Thyborøn and Hvide Sande and, with more than 50 employees, covers a large area not just in the maritime but also in the private/industrial sector. Vest-El is engaged in the sale, installation and service of maritime electrical and electronic equipment for the maritime sector. Vest-El also covers electrical installation for industrial and private customers, along with our authorized cooling division that covers all jobs from refrigeration/freezing systems to heat pumps. The company structure at Vest-El makes it easy to make and modify decisions and quickly set a new course if necessary.
