West African Ventures (WAV) is a 100% Nigerian-owned company and a leading indigenous provider of comprehensive onshore and offshore services. We specialize in engineering (FEED, DED), procurement, fabrication, construction and installation, as well as commissioning, precommissioning and decommissioning. Our expertise also extends to subsea construction, vessel charter and marine support, making us a trusted partner for a wide range of industry needs. WAV is the product of the evolution of providing top-notch service to the Nigerian oil and gas industry. Operations commenced on 16 September 1977 as an onshore oil and gas marine spread in the Niger Delta. The company realized the dearth of adequate supplies and materials for the industry as well as insufficient technical capacity in support of its operations. This resulted in the establishment of the service bases at both Onne and Warri, which immediately commenced the provision of services for its in-house fleet as well as for vessels owned by other businesses in the area. The next step in the evolution of the company was the introduction of dry-dock facilities. Today WAV maintains and operates a versatile fleet of vessels which enables it to offer offshore accommodation, pipe lay, offshore construction, SURF and marine support. Through its engineering and operational capabilities in Nigeria, WAV offers these services on a turnkey EPIC contract basis. WAV also owns and operates a large and diversified fleet of marine support vessels in Nigeria and West Africa and provides support to the oil and gas industry in the area. The fleet ranges from offshore construction vessels, AHT/AHTS vessels, construction and accommodation barges and offshore cargo barges to marine support vessels. Today, WAV provides full value chain services to the maritime and oil and gas industry.
