We are the oldest agency office in Heraklion port, operating since 1950. The company passes from father to son and has firmly kept the quality of the services it has offered for 70 years. Our services include: Port clearance and documentation, the core of our daily work: we handle all the paperwork required by local port and customs authorities, including customs and immigration (clearing the vessel, cargo and crew), health and quarantine (ensuring the ship meets local health regulations, free pratique), coordination with the harbour master for berthing slots and pilotage, and payment of dues (calculating and paying port fees, light dues and pilotage on behalf of owners, disbursement accounts). Operations and husbandry, taking care of the ship's and crew's physical needs while in port: crew changes (visas, transportation to/from the airport and hotel stays for joining or repatriating crew members), supplies and provisions (coordinating with ship chandlers to deliver food, fresh water and deck/engine stores), bunkering (fuel and lubricating oils) and medical assistance (doctors or hospital visits for sick or injured crew members). Cargo requirements, ensuring the cargo is handled correctly to avoid demurrage: supervising loading/discharge as a liaison between the ship's officers and the stevedores, cargo documentation (issuing or processing bills of lading, manifests and mate's receipts) and tallying. Technical and maintenance support: contacting local workshops or specialist technicians for urgent engine or electronic repairs, clearing incoming spare parts through customs and delivering them to the ship in transit, and arranging independent surveyors to inspect the cargo or the ship's condition.
